Anybody have a recommendation for a good paint shop in the Seattle area? I'm trying to get the folks who sold me a brand new boat trailer last September to pay for a new paint job. The original one is peeling off like a candy wrapper.

Thanks for any pointers.

Bruce

BGray,

My friend Mike Swartz owns his own auto painting shop in Edmonds, named Spray King Inc.
Give him a ring and explain what you are looking for, I'm sure he can take care of it. He's a great painter that speacializes in older custom muscle cars and Rods, but he does work like this too.

The number is 778-0103 and make sure to speak to Mike, not his Brother. Tell him Ryley sent ya....oh, and he's a fisherman too wink

Hey SkyGuy,

Do you have another number for Spray King? I just tried the one you posted and I got somebody's garbled voicemail (Steve Crucia or something like that) and when I looked up Spray King I got a phone number that the recording says has been disconnected....

Feel free to email me at bruce_gray99@yahoo.com.

And thanks again,
Bruce

If it has to be stripped, blast it and do it with rhino-lining like I did my big boat trailer ... love it and gonna do my little one next!

Hmm, so any place that does the spray-on bedliner deal will do trailers as well? Seems like a good idear.

I was out checking out the trailer again and it looks like they put zero primer on before the paint. And they're giving me a hard time about picking up the tab for a new paint job.... beathead

I think most would do it ... I did all the prep work and then just took it in to them ... not cheap, about $600-$700 or so for my larger trailer, but it's pretty spiffy smile

You'd never guess that this has made two trips on the AlCan Highway:

A little closer look at the pebbled finish ... nice to step on vs. regular paint, especially with the felts I wear when launching smile
