I heard rumor that some springers have been showing up in the Cowlitz. ANyone know if there is any truth to it.
By the way, only fishing info please, I have read enough political views and other crap the last me awhile.

I personally think that we need another poll regarding Iraqi stand off. The previous poll did not take into consideration the ... sorry, wrong thread laugh

I heard at a tackle shop that someone had hooked one. Didn't get all the story but you would think it is still too early.

some guy on ifish claims to have caught two on the cow with bob and jig, but the odds of one right now is way out there. So do as I did and take it with a grain of salt.

I have had conversations with reliable sources that have indeed caught a few springers on the mighty Cowlitz this season. I haven't checked the return counts but there are fish in the system.

Last year, the bulk of the return was in mid-April through the end of May so its still a little early.

WE picked up our first (22#) springer of the season on Feb. 28th pulling plugs at the Barrier dam, it's been ok since than.
