I would like to thank all those that supported me and my family over the last year and a half while my dad fought his bout with terminal cancer. Unfortunately, he lost the fight on Tuesday night and died peacefully in his sleep. He was a great father and always had time to take me fishing. He will be missed.

My condolences kid sauk. I lost my mother-in-law a week ago to a year long bout with breast cancer. 50 years old seems young to go , but you never know when its your time I guess. Anyway I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune and believe me I know how it feels.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I had a good buddy whose mother passed away recently from cancer. I think the best part of the whole situation, was that the two of them were able to get everyhting squared away, and really express how they felt for each other before it ended. I know it meant a lot to him. Take care

My sincerest condolences, KS. My mom died not quite a year ago. It would have been my folks 63rd anniversary today. Dad hasn't been the same since. enjoy every moment, Kid......the options suck.

Even though I only met your Dad the one time, I appreciate all the nice things you've said about him since I've known you. I also know how hard it's been on you and your mom, too, the last year...I'm glad you got to spend so much time with him recently.

Justin, sorry to hear about your loss, my Dad and I used to go fishing every weekend while I was growing up too. It has been a while, but you will always be thinking of him in those special places.

Kid Sauk, I lost my mother to cancer age 28 and my best friend (dog) of 15 years this January 21. I know how bad it feels and I just wanted to tell you that your dad will always be with you on the river and as you journey through your life. They never really leave us as they are part of our life. I would like to thank everyone for their support  I will also extend the thank you to all the people that also sent e-mail and cards. Life has definately changed now that my dad is gone, but he will always be remembered and that's what matters most. Take care everybody and thanks again. Good fishing to you all
