I've been trying to buy a license the last few days. Trying is the operative word here. I've been to 2 Fred Meyers and 1 GI Joe's, and in all cases, their WDFW computers were down. The GI Joe's actually had a sign up recommending that people go to Big 5 or the Fred Meyer down the street, which is one of the ones I had visited the night before and got a no. I'm not optimistic about Big 5 either. Is anyone else having this trouble?

Try http://www.wa.gov/wdfw/ this is were the emergency rule changes as well as the basic rules are also located. I buy my license off of here. They also post here the fish plants, you might also find the hatchery reports too.

P.S. This is the Washington site.

I purchased mine today at a store in Snohomish at about 10:00 AM. The computer was up and running fine at that time. I noticed I was charged $10. for a state migratory bird stamp even though the WDFW site still has them listed at $6. It does state 2002 prices at the top of the page though. Bill
