I'm looking to buy a used Powerstroke,and need to find a good mechanic to look it over before I buy. This will be my first diesel,and I don't know what to look for as far as problems go. I know all about the maintanance,and pro's and con's of a diesel. I've looked at the dieselstop web page for a while know.

Give Northland Diesel a call. I take my truck to the Marysville shop and am very satisfied with their service and knowledge. My '95 F250 PSD sure pulls my sled better than my '94 V6 Ranger. Bill

I also second Northland Diesel, But I have been told that they closed there Marysville shop and are ownly in there Bellingham shop. Still it would be worth the drive, Also a very good Ford repair shop in Everett is O.N.B automotive, these guys are very good and they are the most honest shop I have every delt with, I feel safe sending my wife in there with her vehicle.

A second vote for ONB in everett. I do not have a diesel (rats!) but they have done work on my ford and are ford specialists. They were very accomidating with my schedule and very honest about the work needed. All in all pretty good guys (for mechanics)! :p . they also do pre purchase inspections for used car buyers for a pretty reasonable price, around 30 to 50 bucks depending on the rig.
