From my experience Springers fight harder, but Fall runs are bigger. If you get a hatchery fish Springers are probably the best eating salmon you can get. MMmmmmmm smile

The springer is the best eating fish you can get.

However, the weather is usually a lot nicer in September!

Since I don't care to eat salmon, taste has nothing to do with my choice. Bigger is better, make mine a fall king (in the salt)

I perfer eating springers,

But the fall runs are definetly much bigger, and a lot more fun to catch

Springers for eatin, falls for catchin. Last fall i fought an 18 pounder who took 20 minutes to bring to net, and that was after throwing anchor. I guess he had small fish syndrome. laugh
