the open area has these points as outer edges:

1. 48 11 N, 125 11 W
2. 48 11 N, 124 59 W
3. 48 04 N, 124 59 W
4. 48 04 N, 125 11 W

the open area is surrounded by a c-shaped closure area (to help reduce yelloweye catch) with these outer edges:

1. 48 18 N, 125 18 W
2. 48 18 N, 124 59 W
3. 48 00 N, 124 59 W
4. 48 00 N, 125 18 W

Chris-

How far of a run is it? I am taking the opener off from work and heading out there. Any worries in taking my boat out there in reasonable weather? I have a spot if you want to go.

the southern end of the open area looks to be around a 24 nm run from tatoosh (shorter than the old yelloweye hotspot area we used to fish). i don't know your range, but i'm looking forward to the shorter run down there vs. the longer holes i normally fish. if you have the range and the weather's good (it probably won't be as calm as last may) i say go for it.

it is a shorter run from la push... but neah bay doesn't have a bar that the coast guard closes.
