There is no question at all in my mind; fishing is definitely cruel!

Just ask my body every morning that I am lucky enough to wake up and try to do it again! You people talk about pain, wait tell it is a knocking at your door! I feel really bad for the fish, but I also feel bad too! So why not divide the "pain" up a little bit more evenly and share it with the fish?

We live to be over 100 years old sometime! Let us share the pain equally!

Fish: your going to be in a world of "hurt" when I get a hold of you!

confused

.......hmmmmm.....so what's the message here?

I mean who didn't know that?

...hmmmmm? Is he sayin the guys who CnR by choice are Barbaric? And the guys who do it cause they have to are angels?

Kind of a kick in the ole jewels to the holier than though, look at me, I'm the only one doin the right thing group on this board huh?

(Bunch of abusiive, sadistic, barbarians.)

Hell blame it on WDFW, they make me do it.

Fly guys might be the worst, they pick on the little guys, an then turn em loose!

I think fish must live a pretty boring life for the most part, no TV. no Computers, no Beer, no Brussell sprouts.

So to get violantly jerked into a life and death struggle, beat down to parade rest, drug through the dirt, held up to get their picture taken (by now they gotta think the bonk an the cooler is next) and then gently released back into their stream, has got to be the rush of a lifetime. Hell some of em even buy a 2nd and 3rd ticket.

I think they love it.

wink

Yes, I cause fish some discomfort. But who's to say that pain is a normal part of life. I'll admit to having assisted in the landing of a kelp greenling(~1lb female) and prolonged release whereby she laid in a shallow pool of water while her lifeblood drained away. Prior to that I forcibly unhooked her. Knowing I didn't feel like keeping the fish I threw it back to the ocean. Minutes later I see it laying on the bottom belly up. Who is to say that I don't have remorse over that? I won't stand up against PETA but I will stand up against misuse of information, lack of information and biased information.
