I'd just like to give them two thumbs up for their service.

I bought an ultra-light TX 500 spin reel last June and by the end of summer the plastic on the bottom of the handle was disentigrating.

I called Shimano monday 877 577 0600
after using their website to find the part #

The opperator sent the handle to me for FREE. I guess I can't quibble about the color being gray instead of black, considering the price.
Just some news you can use. The cutties won't be safe this summer, especially if I don't use my flypole!

I sent in an old style corsair 401 and a300.Expected to wait for a few weeks to hear a word from them.5 days later I had 2 new style reels sitting on my porch.
I heard they arent much better,we'll see.

I have never seen better customer service than that.

Because of it I will continue to use their products.Mostly smaller spin reels.
