I fished it last January whenit was running high. Saw salmon rolling and hooked a steelhead but then it got off. Not sure if this is any help to you.

I do not beleive it is stocked with trout. A friend tells me he has done well on small native rainbows in the 8-10 inch range up high above the confluence. Access is often closed.

I have heard that the spur 10 gate is no longer open - that permits are no longer sold to get in on the weekends. Haven't verified yet.

There used to be decent fishing for small fish in the upper reaches of the Tolt. It was nothing that I would make plans for, but I used to fish it and the lakes up there. Lynch lake, in particular, was good for 20 feet of cutthroat, 6 to 8 inches at a time, each trip. Small black wooly buggers was the ticket.

Weyerhaueser just sold the land to a conservancy group, and I don't know if they have the access question figured out yet.
