I have had a lot of laughs watching the rodeo at the launch (any launch) especially early morning on the weekends in summer, but the fact of the matter is I've contributed to the entertainment also. I've forgotten the plug, luckely my partner was in the boat and it accesses from the inside. I've fallen off the trailer, both launching and taking out at some very flat launches ( I usually drive the boat on.)
I've fallen on my very substantial a$$ at low tide on a steep one.

I've been doing this long enough to not get all upset at myself or all kinds of nervous, I know **** happens. I make every effort to be well prepared, have started the boat at home, loaded all the gear, checked the plug, have the lines ready, the tie downs off, etc. etc.

But for someone with less experience I can't think of a more stressfull place. You can practice backing around at home, and a lot of other things but for the guy who does it once or twice a year and everybody is watching and laughing and honkin and swearin, it's gotta be tough.

Just bought the boat, car full of kids all excited, the wife knows less than you do so you got no help, or visa versa.

Then you get flustered tryin to back it in, make one or two wrong moves and instead of starting over you back up instead of pulling up, but you get it in, it floats, it runs, the hard part is over, you all have a good time!

Takin out is the easy part!

Right?

And there is guy with a digital camera and your on the internet!

Hell, this guy needs a friend!

I would have laughed for sure, but I sure feel sorry for him, I hope he's got a dog cause about now I bet he thinks God hates him.

Not only does Osama love my SUV, but so do I!

I'm a proud owner of a new 2003 Tahoe LS, 5.8L V8, gas-suckin', hybrid car squashin', liberal smashin', democrat slappin' and soon to be boat towin' SUV! laugh

I love the two "meat hooks" on the front of my SUV. I guess they are to be used after I run that little hybrid car off the road and in to the ditch. I guess if I'm feeling sorry for that little car, I can stop, hook a strap to the car and tow them out of the ditch. laugh

Oh, and if you want to buy my truck, click here.

I love the minivan for running around town and haulin the kids, but you will NEVER and I mean NEVER see our minivan at ANY boat launch.
