Does anyone know if Seguar makes Cabela's No-Vis Flourocarbon line? I have been using Seaguar's with good luck, but the Cabela's is half the price. Both made in Japan and have similar labels. Is Seaguar available in the Seattle/Everett area? Thank you

I e-mailed Seaguar (sp) and asked the same question. They do make the flourocarbon line for Cabela's.

Ive used flourocarbon twice and have broken off twice. I think one needs to use a heavier line than used to. Example, normal mono #12, flouro at 15 to 20#. MHO.

I have been using Seaguar 10# and 12# line for a year without a single break-off on a fish, (30+ fish last year). Works fine for me. I buy the 150 yard spools, not the 25 yard leader packs. Some folks say the leader pack material is stiffer.

I use it for both jig leaders and drift leaders.

I have been using seaguar leader for afew seasons now and have had only one break off most likly caused by poor knot quality (my own)
But now that I fiqured out how to tie it ive had no problems at all.

For all you maxima junkies out there, a flourocarbon is being tested by them right now. I've been using their 8 lb for shad all season and haven't had one breakoff. Straighten some jig hook off on it too. I also saw their prototype braid. Pretty cool stuff.

Seaguar is the best fluorocarbon line, but the Cabela's line are also dependable. As you probably know, fluorocarbon lines are stiffer and denser than the monofilament, so you need to make sure that the knots are really cinched down.
