My guess is that someone got too many emails from other members crying because they were proved wrong. All his posts were backed up with facts not opinions. He was doing the same thing for months with no warning so why would he change what he was doing. He thought it was acceptable. It obviously was for awhile. I ask you the moderators of this board why you did not say anything to him earlier. I can't imagine someone keeping it up if they were told to stop. Driftboater brought a lot of quality info to this board that many of us ignorant folks would otherwise not know about. He's kind of like a tim eyeman of outdoors.

Hey Steelhead69,

What sites do you moderate? You sound a little more down to earth and not so arrogant.

I would like to visit those sites.

Thanks

Feather,
Have you been around long enough to start calling anybody or anything "arrogant"?

This is board has always let things happen and kept the moderation to a minimum.I am surprised how civil it has stayed with as little moderation as there has been.

Most of us on this board know Bob to be a great and more than fare guy. What happened happened.I think second guessing is mute and we need to let it rest.

Thanks again guys for a great board!

Littlefish There is no relationship.

I have only been around here a little while and started to make some posts in April.

Sorry about the arrogant remark. Was just curious where Steelhead69 was a moderator at. He seems like a level headed person and I was curious to where his sites are. Thats all.

Thanks,

But I have add that very often, what we read here is only part of the story. There are also private messages and emails flying during these "drama's" that contribute to decisions to ban.

Sometimes I wonder why I'm still here. eek
Yeah it was pretty cool that Bob did that.

Feather, JG isn't being arrogant. But when things like this happens, a Moderator gets slammed with emails/PMs. Some good, some bad. So, tend to get a bit touchy. Been there and done that. Sometimes it's hard when you get bombarded to read through a post to see if someone is being sincere or a smart alec.

Yeah, I've been told now and again that I was unfair (on some of the older boards I did at one time, but they were SUPER HIGH traffic sites). The two I do now are actually really nice. Very minimal editing, and so far everyone has been ok with what I've done (knocking on wood HARD) laugh But yes, every mod goes through the ups and downs.

Steelheader69,

What sites do you run? I would also like to check these out.

I think that Bob and the others are doing a great job at running this board. But I would like some of the arguing to stop. It makes me think that some of the people on this board are the ones that are rude on the water too.

Thanks again for this great board!!! smile

I don't want to do any plugs on here. This is Bob's site, and respect that. If you want to know what sites I mod on, simply email me and I'll let you know. Thanks.

Thanks CFM, just know how irritating it is.

Also, don't PM me. Please email me from profile. It's inconsiderate to run these messages through the PM's. Thanks
