Boy, two days of fishing off of Redondo, Pt Robinson, and Dash Pt and nothing to show for my effort. Not even a shaker.

Did anyone catch any fish this weekend?

Yep... caught lots of shad, a couple of pea-mouthed chub and a single, solitary whitefish.

All were on shad jigs below the John Day dam.

Hooked finger once....ouch!

4 nice Dungeness. I didn't even put a line in the water. I'm trying to hold off on salmon fishing to minimize my frustration...

You might give old Lake Washington a try, EL. My boys and I got (3) rainbows between 16" and 19"s on Sunday, just off I-90 and NE Mercer Island. Dam, those are some good eat'n trout. beer I'll post a pic when I down load my pictures.

Fished La Push for a few days this weekend.
Fished Friday w/ only three coho, but did not go out till the afyernoon.
Saturday w/ one king at 19 and a few coho.
Sunday was to rough to go out deep and just bottom fished.
A few smaller Kings were caught by others in our group on Saturday, but it was nasty by then and staying on the fish was very tough and not to safe (20-25 knts and 5 -7 ft swells). Hope to go again in a few weeks.
That King was sure pretty though.
Heading to Neah bay and Sekiu Friday morning for the weekend.

NEN cool

Six chinook and some nice crabs at Jeff Head Sunday morning. Two of the chinook were decent size summer fish, and the others were blackmouth... all swam away unharmed.

Did the Pt Def. thing, skunked, Pt. Robinson, skunked, but a buddy and I had to good take downs there. Hey EL, we were marking alot of fish in the 25-40 ft range, mostly large. Could these be Salmon. My buddy was thinking they could have been Sea Perch. So we went to favorite never get skunked bottom fish hole and we each took home our 1 limit of Copper Rock Cod. They were some fatties to beat it and tasty.
On the other hand when we were bottom fishing I thought I hooked into a King. it was pulling line and heading down towards the bottom. When I finally got it up to the surface it was a doggy and it was about 3 1/2 to 4 ft. I gotta say that was the largest one I have ever caught. Well hopefully a few more weeks and we all will be enjoying a King or Two.

I banked the Sky and picked up some. Wow, it should be alot better, but I've seen the fish show up in July before, so let's home they're late.

Ya, Erndog I have been marking a lot of fish in the 20-40' range. Could be the massive amounts of jelly fish present.

While I was jigging off of Redondo I did see a nice salmon swim right by my boat on the surface. mad

OK Carl, the joke is over.

A bunch of board members and I were commisioned by Chiquita to find out why banana sales have dropped off by fisherman recently. They asked us to prove the theory that banana's bring fishermen bad luck, and thet their smell drives fish away.

Well, we thought, Who would be the best fisherman to try a little test out on? EL!

So, we went down to Federal Watts and Duct-taped a Big green one to your keel.

Looks like the Superstition has turned into fact!

Go Get that 'Nanner off your boat right now!...If there isnt one there it must have...um...washed off er sumthin.

I here ya there EL. Should of just slapped him as he went by slap . I was thinking jelly fish also, but I took my sensitivity down and set my finder to mark 35 to 40 and we were p/u all biggies on the finder. But dam those jelly fish are sure thick out there right now. When do there little sex drive die down. Horny *******s. When we had our take downs and no bait on when we reeled up, we had are DR's at 36 and 40. Heck we'll never know but to keep trying that spot.
