I just went out to the mailbox and got a package from cabella's. Open the box and find the biggest cabela's catalog I've ever seen. It's a hardback catalog that's 2 inches thick! hello It says limited edition on the spine, and looks like it has all of their catalogs combined into one.
This thing is awesome. I can hide it from my wife right on the bookshelf and she will never notice. It looks like a reference book.
It came with a certificate to "world's foremost customer". So did anyone else get one of these. Or am I just spending way too much money at Cabela's?

I just got one today also. I guess we are both spending too much with them. It's not like I need another Cabela's catalog. I get a new one from them every month.

I just have to say, I am feeling under appreciated as a Cabela's customer - I haven't gotten one of these! And Dammit, I deserve one!

I bought from Cabela's today, hopefully they'll be sending me my copy with my order!!

I read on another forum that there were 100,000 special catalogs published and sent out randomly to people on their mailing list.

Yeah, I received one of those catalogs also. I believe you can call and request a copy if your a member. I mostly use our local shops, but Cabelas has some items I can't find around here.

I'm with you Spark..I stay local also...

Greggs Custom Rods in Lake Stevens is great. Kinda nice to go into a shop and talk to the owner and actually have someone who knows what they are talking about... Sometimes you may pay a little more but it well worth keeping the money local and helping out the smaller guys...

Cabelas is a rip off anyways..

We got one also. It must be some kind of marketing effort. As usual it has your name and customer # on it so they have your wallet in their sights. laugh I don't know how much it must have cost them but I hope the wife asks me to put little pieces of paper with item # on pages for a Christmas wish list. I just hate to think of the bill that will come shortly after. beathead

I'm in the Navy and have been out to sea for the past 6 months. My son e-mailed me the other day saying that I had received a package from Cabela's and it was this huge catalog. Can't wait to get home and see it. All the catalogs I brought with me are practically worn out.
I also agree with staying local, but over the past 15 years or so, Cabela's has always been there for me.
Back in 1990 Adak, Alaska was a long way from Sportco!

Chum man hits it right on, there aint a thang down here unless you count Tumwater Sports. I also live in Oly and Cabelas is pretty handy. But I'll always have to stop at Sport Co. to see if its there cheaper. I also got the dictionary that Cabelas is sending out. Its pretty cool.
