Anyone know where to buy fresh herring? I know that the Point Defiance boathouse sometimes has them, but anyone know if they have had them recently? Fresh herring stays on the hook so much better when you're casting plug cut bait.

Saw a trawler tonight bringing them in...should be in the stores soon

I dont know who you would pay but the state has a giant u catch herring fishery called the sound that has the freshest herring available all the time. I always catch my own. alot of the lit up piers have herring at night too.
