Hi All,

A friend and I are headed up to try our luck at the Fraser sockeye this Friday. Neither of us have ever tried it so I thought I would ask the resident pool of knowlegde where we should look for bank access (rather than waste a day driving in circles). I've done a seach and read about boat launches, but we are not bringing a boat. I was wondering if any of you that have graduated to boat fishing for these and don't have to deal with the bank mobs might be willing to help me plan ahead. I don't care about 'combat fishing.' I just don't want to wander out and start fishing on unproductive water, or much worse - private property.

Thanks for any suggestions. (You can PM me if you'd feel more inclined)

BH,

If you click the link I put in the other Fraser sockeye thread, and click "Fishing reports", scroll down and look to the left side of the page, you'll see a downloadable map of all of the Fraser access points and bars between Mission and Hope. Print this out and take it with you. You might try Herling island, or cross the river at Aggasiz and fish one of the bars on the north side of the river. Eventually the fish will swim by you wherever you end up.

Good luck!
