I have a friend who has in-laws coming to town this week end. I am going out of Westport this week end but he has a sled & wants to not risk the drive to Westport.
So, Iwant to tell him try Bouy 10 so if he can make it out to sea then he's ok or if he can work by the bouy he'ok or if the sea is bad, etc. he can catch & release sturgeon. He knows how to fish. I was just wondering if any one has tried the Bouy 10 area yet this year??

You can lurk on the IFish BB (or any BB for that matter) without a background check. There is at least one very good report on IFish that you should check.

I haven't been out but I plan to go on Wednesday. This is what I've heard:

B-10 is a bit slow as the fish aren't coming in yet. The high river temperatures might have something to do with that. The ocean is red hot. Limits are common if the weather allows you to get past the bar. Use cut plug herring behind a diver/flasher. Good luck. Be careful.

I fished it on Saturday and it indeed was slow - had rained the day before quite a bit and I think that cleaned out the kings that were there the week before. My wife caught a small silver, and when we went in at high tide that was the only fish checked that didn't come from the ocean. The river was indeed too warm and about the color of my maroon minivan - some kind of bloom going on. The folks that went out to the ocean that I talked to said it was 10+ miles of lumpy running to get to the fish. No thanks. Probably going to bag B10 until the last of the month
