I'm leaving Friday morning to fish Sekiu. Anybody else gonna be up there? I'm staying at Curleys. I have a white and blue Crestliner.
Say hi.

You should have good fishing. We noticed this weekend that most of the silvers where closer to shore than the pink schools. If you are getting pinks every five minutes, motor tword shore for a minute or two to find coho. Use cut-plugges herring and a silver flasher/dodger combo off the riggers at 35 ft. But I don't think it matters much what you use. I just know that a Green Splatter Back Squid didn't work.

Looks like it's going to be a couple of more weeks till me and mine can get back up there on the 29th and 30th. Be kind and save us a few keepers, the heat is on me to feed a crowd fresh BBQ'd salmon the Sunday we return. Nothing like knowing the grill will be fired up and the bibs are donned to put a little pressure on, eh. I mean, heavens, the things a guy has to endure to feed his family these days. But I know that even if they don't appreciate it, you guys will understand. rolleyes

Hi folks – I am new to the board. Have been following it for about a month and find it very interesting. Lots of good news and advise on fishing. Though I am a fly fisher I’m just getting back into salmon fishing out of a boat.
I am heading up to Sekiu on Sunday the 17th coming home late Tuesday. I am staying at the Bayview and will be fishing out of the COHO. I am in a older 21’ Striper 210 with dual Cannon DRs. Kicker is a older 10 hp Honda. If you see me give me a shout. If you are a HAM I will be monitoring 146.52 simplex and VHF ch 16 & 68. Name of the boat is RIDDLER.

I'll be up there again this weekend. I stay at a friends cabin on the sol duc river though, near sappho. Fishing last weekend was great. Fast limits and some nice fish. I found it to be about a 70/30 pink/silver split. But we did catch some big pinks, the boomer topping the scale at 12 lbs. Yeah thats right 12 lbs, thats a big pink if you ask me anyway..lol.
