Hi guys!

We only have one week this year to fish the Skagit River for pinks.

My question is: what one week of the year is traditionally the hottest week for Skagit pinks?:
A. From the mouth to Sedro?
B. From Sedro to Marblemount?

We catch and release, so we don’t care how they taste then, just that they aren’t lousy fighters. My boat(s) can handle any stretch of the river.

My little nephew and I thank you!

Mouth to Sedro - Last week of August / First week of September.

Sedro upstream - Mid September.

Maybe Plunker could give you a more accurate prediction. smile

I think 4Salt made a pretty good guess.

If memory serves, I believe the pink run typically peaks in the lower river in mid-September. Best fishing, however, is probably from the opener until mid-Sept., dependent on water conditions.

Sincerely,
