With the low waters and reports of few fish in the Sound, I'm curious to hear some opinions (I know there's plenty of those out there laugh ) as to where the better place to bring a buddy for some action with the pinks... that doesn't sound right....I mean where will we catch some fish? Skagit or Snohomish on the 16th?

Skagit, Below Mt. Vernon or the N. fork on Fir island.

Since traffic was so snarly last night I took a detour over to the park off of Springhetti Rd. Stood on the dike and counted 5 fish showing in about 10 minutes.

The tide looked to be about halfway through the flood (6:00p.m. or so) so I suppose there might have been more activity later on, but it didn't look real promising.

RK43,

You could launch at Blake's resort on the NF. Follow the Fir island rd. and look for signs.

There's another small launch upstream from Blake's, but I only know how to get there by actually driving it. I can't remember all of the road names.
