hey guys, i have heard of a spoon that coyote makes that is known as the cop car. What color is that? I have used the green and white with a fish flash and have had many fish on but no fish netted. Jeff Head was great Saturday. We lost around 10 fish before we boated any. Alot of fun.

Coyote's rock. I was sceptical of these at first but after seeing them produce I am sold. Blue chrome is also a great color.

The 'Yote is a great spoon, but I rarely use them anymore (for BM). I tie on a Sonic or Radiant spoon. Results are close to 3 to 1 over the 'Yote.

Has anyone tried the 3kingfisher by silver horde? Its green with green splotches and glitter. Another site recommended it for kings on the Nisqually and was wondering if it worked?

GP2,
Wholehearted agree with your statement... I, for one, am not stuck on strictly using spoons- although they do put a lot of fish in my boat. I "match the hatch" with size and silhouette at a given time of year. So I may use a variety of lures.
I have been doing a ton of research over the last couple years. In my dealings with tackle manufactures they all agree that glow versions work better. Not necessarily because the lures are seen better, but because the luminescence provides a more natural setting (or environment) for Salmon [in particular]. E.g., Zooplankton and phytoplankton exhibit bioluminescence and continue to glow once the ultra-violet light source has been removed. This glow slowly fades and once no longer visible to the human eye after several seconds, minutes or hours, it is still detectable by salmon. This is why I choose lures that glow "all-round."
I have done some side-by-side experiments with spoons (one side painted/silver) and all glow lures/baits. Although these experiments are not conclusive and need many more hours of testing, they do have my attention! All glow out produced 3 to 1.
Nothing against the 'Yote... they still a place in my boat under certain conditions.

Another good color is the army truck Coyote (green, red, and white).
So far this summer I have caught eight kings on the all silver with prizm tape Coyote.

GP,
Still floating around! 79 days to go! Boy if I ever sell my tackle on Ebay, I am surely a millionare and the wife would be happy! More horses for her.
Flutter spoons??? I have a dozen or so painted up in "super glow green" (Glow Mates). I like the 4 1/2". It's 5/8" wide and a perfect sand lance imitiation.
Don't get wrong here guys. I like the 'Yote's action and as a shallow water spoon on bright clear days. However, I fish deeper than many care to. It is uncommon for me to fish 180-200 feet- I need something I know fish will see. Might be a slight confidence factor involved, but I just looked through my journals (on CD-RWs) and I haven't seen more than 10 fish caught over 135 feet on a 'Yote.
Radiant's spoons are almost an exact stamp of the 'Yote' and are painted on both sides (glow versions)- barrel swivel and split rings included. All I have to do is switch the barrel swivel around... They also have a plain "Glo Below" spoon that I can custom air brush and/or take the pens to.
The Kingfisher spoons have recently gained popularity. The #2 or #3 work well behind a flasher. The number #4 will work, but dampens the rotation of the flashers slightly. I have a couple of #2's set up behind an 8" flasher.
What out... Tomic has a new spoon on the market!
