My brother and myself left at 3:30 am Friday for Sekiu. I talked him into stopping at Elliott to fish the morning bite. Turned out to be a good call. We were off the water by 7:30 with full limits of a 25, 20, 19 and 16#er. What a way to start the weekend.

Saturday morning at Sekiu was a fish fest and we lost count on the number of Silvers and Humpies we caught and released. Saturday night I got a 12# hatchery king to release and got a 28#
King this morning. What a blast !!!!!
My hands and arms are tired and sore.
I swear that Stevie Wonder could find the fish at Sekiu.

charr,

These are the good ol' days.

With your hot hand maybe you ought to go for the cycle and hit Bouy 10 on your way home.

Charr, sounds like you did well. I was thinking about heading to Seiku this weekend. What do you recommend. Thanks.

Dustoff, all we fished with was a cutplug, and a Sampo swivel off the downrigger. Simple and easy. Good luck

Fish-N-Chicks, I caught fish from 10' down to 90'. Of course at 90' you'll have to contend with the ocasional King. What a drag huh?
You'll catch fish anywhere out side of the green bouy. We ran about 3 miles out on Saturday and it wasn't any better than in close.
I must say that I don't believe that 30% of the Silvers are hatchery. Alot of wild fish. It's a great place to take the kids to catch salmon, but a little to crowded to let the youngsters run the boat in the fog. (like some folks were doing)

I also fished at Sekiu last weekend. My friend, Karl and I were there Saturday and Sunday. We lost count of how many fish we caught.

I only got one King, about 15lbs but we started a little late on Saturday because of room problems at Van Riper's and we slept in on Sunday till 8:00am.

We headed out of the Bay and when it was around 200 feeet deep we started fishing. We fished in 200-300 feet deep water the whole time. We got all our fish at 40-50 feet down in the mornings and 80-100 in the afternoon.

We were using B2 Mini Squids and Army Truck Coyote Spoons.
