Anybody try Elliot Bay since it opened back up Setember 1 for Silvers? I was thinking about trying it this weekend in front of Todd shipyard. They should be starting to show up around the mouth of the Duwamish pretty soon.

Might be a few around the Bay, just a little early though I am thinking. I was thinking about another week and then start looking for them myself.

I haven't targeted them, but did pick one up during the inner Elliot Bay king fishery. The "Where They're Biting" report in the Seattle Times also reports a decent number of fishing coming in to ramp at Alki so some may be from the bay.

With the number of silvers down in area 11
I would think that there has to be some up in elliott bay.

I'll let you know on Monday how I do and what I tried. During the King season out there I caught and released a couple small silvers from 2 to 3 pounds that were biting on cut plug. They should have some size by now and maybe I can catch them if nothing else.

I stopped by the Green today and saw lots of silvers jumping. They are in there.

Check out Erndogs report on 4 mile rock. Sounds like they're there

Say EL, go down to the walk bridge behind the theatre and watch some of those big kings get full extension out of the water. Ya wonder how much energy they expend doin' that.

With the low water conditions those kings will be there for a while. The silvers too. I went to the Soos Creek Hatchery last Wednesday and they only counted nine kings returning to the hatchery.

Well that doesn't sound very promising for future fish in the bay. REALLY need some water baaadd. Let's hoope the silvers come back in decent numbers, but, since you fish in and around soos area, why don't some of the people fishn' there have a clue that the silvers have lockjaw and are dark? Yeah I'm there too but after the early steelies and they're fiesty in this low water. See ya up and around there. laugh

Couldn't get out to Elliot Bay this weekend after all. My brother wanted to fish the pinks in Humpy Hollow and after that I spent the rest of weekend fixing my boat trailer lights after one of them stopped working. I think I got it fixed but I'll see next time I launch. Hope you guys had better luck than we did, we only caught 2 apiece, 2 of which we released as they were starting to turn.
