Ive been working on outfitting my new truck. Any one have any Ideas on cool tricks to make it a "go any where, fish any where" machine. Incase you are wondering, a Ford ranger 4X4. My new canopy goes on tomarrow.

Get a Warn Multi-Mount and an 8000lb winch. The Multi-Mount lets you move the winch to the rear of the truck,if you can't use or don't have any snatch blocks. You can come up with a bunch of different uses for a winch, other than getting your truck un-stuck.

ARB air locker for the rear(put one in the front too if you're hardcore), you won't need the winch because you won't get stuck smile

or better yet, swap in a solid axle in the front too, they flex way better than any IFS suspension would. too bad they don't make little trucks like my toyota from the factory with them any more frown

I like the wench idea....if she can push you out of the mud AND knows how to cut bait you're set.

The best thing you can do is remove the license plates and replace what's between them with a Toyota. :p

The worst boat will catch you more fish than the best truck banana

Get some of those horizontal rod racks and attach them to your window frames. That, or rig a rod holder system in the roof area (inside).

I like the winch idea too. I could have used it when I got my 4x4 Toyota stuck at American Lake. :p Stay away from the loose stuff and you wont need one, but where's the fun in that?

I absolutley HATE damaging a rod during travel. A case for long or rough trips is a must for good rods. Racks are good enough for most gear.

Cant help you with the "Ford thing", there is no perscription for that, and God drives a Chevy. So praying wont help either cool
