A lot of us here are still saltwater boat challenged (like me) so I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for dock fishing for salmon? I fish Dash Point, and I've been seeing a lot of fish lately, but not a lot of bites. Been using the old standby: casting plug cut herring behind a mooching sinker. Looking for some new methods.

What about Buzz Bombs? Spoons or spinners behind that banana weight? Point Wilson Darts?

If you fish with a spinning reel, you could use a sliding sinker/bobber combo

One of the time honored traditions is live bait under a float from the Bait Box near South Whidbey State Park. What a rush! use a typical 2 ounce mooching weight to a mooching rig with a big sliding float above it. Cast it as far as you can and HANG ON!
