ltlCLEO - I too have put in thousands of miles exploring, countless hours researching, and gone through many a pair of boots in my younger days looking for places to fish before I was inundated with family responsibilities.

The difference is that I do not view them as some sort of commodity, but rather a gift that I freely share.

I would gladly Point you in the right deirection over here on the penninsula. There is just no way in hell I would post them on the internet! We would have to leave politics at home though laugh

And no I do not figure that there is a big secret concerning net penns.I just do not agree with this idea that every great fishing spot needs a blue light special either.I just do not agree that the spirit of this board should be that of f/h news.Somebody asked and got a private message with I am guessing more info that anticipated and others get upset becuse they got left out.

Now I am off to throw 1/8 green and brass roostertails at a few silvers staged up infront of Barkers creek.

the net pens aren't the only place those coho show up...and you can usually get some bright fish into the middle of october at least...cruise along the shorelines and look for jumpers....you can often find spots with fish and less people than at the pens themselves..and the fish are usually better biters away from the crowds..though they are pretty lockjawed..spinners and wiggle warts have been workin' good ....unfortunately the squaxins don't do any delayed release coho now so the resident coho fishin' has gone way done....

Papaslap, with Plunker it's more of a personal issue he has with me, which is why he posted the above. laugh I oppose a good pal of his too often. wink
Hey Folks! "The run is just about finished!"
Only a few weeks left so you better get 'em while the getting is good.

Personal issue Marsha??? Come on! Obviously the world, your world, revolves around you but it might be a bit presumptuous to think everyone's world revolves around you. Aside from your occasional leaning towards personal attacks, mostly towards your favorite adversary, you have earned a considerable amount of admiration from me. Perhaps it is you who has issues!

This whole zipperlip thing smacks of personal grandiosity and childish taunting...
"Hey! Look what I got! I'll give you some if..."
There is nothing wrong with secrets until you taunt someone with having them.
It is bad form to publicly dole them out to some and create envy with others.

The net pens in Peale Passage are not secret! It is not a small fishery!
It is a public resource! It is a hatchery type operation of large magnitude!
The net pens there produce a harvest of about 60,000 Coho annually.
That is twice the number of steelhead harvested in the entire Columbia River Basin.

No fishing spots were revealed here. Just the location of the hatchery net pens.

Hey Papaslap! If you get up this way try the Samish. It's only about 1/10'th the size of the Peale operation but despite being a small fishery it is quite popular. For something a bit bigger try the Skagit. Hundreds of thousands of humpies in that one. Oops! I forgot! The run is just about finished!
