You should contact the company and inquire to get it replaced. I broke one of thier IM7'S that was past the warranty and for about 30$ plus shipping they sent me a new one. Email me if you need the address or phone #.

Pat not always no but when i can i certainly do. I have been in manufacturing my whole life and being in the sport fishing manufacturing bussiness (rods) i can tell you that american manufacturers are the reason there are good fishing rods on this planet. I just recommend to people that if they want good rods in the future it's a good idea for them to support companies who make their rods in America.. If nothing else buy one considering it a favor to me.. Lamiglas for instance has a serios of rods that are built in America by American workers and is as good or better that any overseas rod And is only a couple dollars more. To me supporting a local company even though technically they are a competitor is a good idea.

Fastwater-- Don't know where you got your info on the Berkley Series One rods blanks being the same as G. Loomis' blanks. That is not the case. G. Loomis blanks are all made in Woodland. Berkley's blanks are not.
While G. Loomis does make some private-label rods, Berkley's are made in China.
I'm not putting down the Berkley product. I have several, and I like them. But G. Loomis quality they're not.

I don't have a butt section that I want to part with, but I do have a MH, rated 10-20, lightly used (maybe 10 times) series one that I would part with if you are interested in a complete rod.

That would be for an AIR IM7. This is a "Series One" which they no longer make. The Series One retailed for close to $100 when they sold them around 10 years ago.
Suprised you don't know the difference since you were asking about it.

Gutz, Not all are 8.5, but most. I had one that was 8'3" and heard they made some 10.5 for float fishing in BC, but have never found one of those. This is a casting model, and I have never seen a spinning in the series one steelhead rod. I will take the poor man's visa or mastercard
