And you can only have three CD's listen to for the duration...
What would they be?
I would have said one CD, but even I couldn't have picked just one...

The sound track from the movie dazed and confused. to warm up with
BTO Not Frigile or cheap trick at budakon or the doors or the who to rock out with
Peter Frampton comes alive or fleetwood macs greatest hits to mello out with
and my newer music pick would be Three Doors down...
Im not sure if the sound tracks (above) or collections of different bands like the 2 two cd sets of harley davidson road rock that I have are are allowed but both are great CDs for old classic rock........your asking two much to pick just 3

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

AC/DC: Highway to Hell Rush: 2112 Judas Priest: British Steel
Are you sure I can only have 3?
Can I trade 1 CD for a fishing rod?

Bad Company – Bad Company Creedance Clearwater Revival – Chronicle Lynyrd Skynyrd – One More From the Road I picked the above since you said 3 CD's but…if I could pick box sets they would be… to replace the same bands… Lynyrd Skynyrd – Thyrty – 30th Anniversary Collection Creedence Clearwater Revival 6 CD Box Set This is a great question… It is really tough… AC/DC would be right up there also…. and Ted Nugent… Tight Lines & Rock & Roll!!!

A very astute observation Piper! Actually I was accosted with said fire arm by a disgruntled prostitute who recently escaped from the Women's Correctional Facility at Purdy. That's how I ended up on the island in the first place! I guess it would be safe to assume then that you were extremely angry at the last black mass you attended when your fellow Satan worshippers botched the animal sacrifice, causing you to destroy the nearest Jack-O-Lantern! :p

Actually, I was at dennys resaurant and the waitress, who was a gothic devil worshiper, botched my order, I got enraged and threw the pumpkin pie at her. Missed her but hit the cross dressing homo in the next booth. :p edit... kinda suprised there are no country music fans... where are all you rednecks at? Must be out fishing, eh?

Hey, I like country music, but alas, you hit the nail on the head, I've been out fishing!! All the cd's mentioned are good choices, but I'd prefer to have:
Tim McGraw and the DanceHall Doctors Kenny Chesney's No Shoes No Shirt No Problems Chris Cagle's self titled album Chris Cagle

Cast and Blast, You just have to take 2 coconut halves, put sea water in them and some wire, stir the water and it will recharge the batteries for your CD player. Saw this on Gilligans Island and it seemed to work great! (As smart as that professor was you think he could have figured a way to patch the hole in the boat.) I also want to throw in a second vote for some ZZ Top, probably the best concert I have ever seen. No fancy lights, big screens or fireworks, just some dudes playing their butts off for 2 hours!

Oh God PLEASE don't ever let me be stranded on an island with Surecatch or Cupo. Kid(i'm super greasy) Rock AND Bruce(i need to wash my hair) Springstein would make my visit on that island very unpleasant. And we would surely starve cuz all the vegatation would die from the endless vibrations emitted by the constrution site/torturing a cat symphony of disaster coming from the boomboxes. *Just kidding* To calm things down i would have to break out the: STATIC-X: Wisconsin deathtrip Queensryche: Rage for Order Prong: Rude Awakening On my kickazz, handcranked cd/weather radio.

Ok only three? Here I go:
Led Zeppelin - How the West Was Won (the new live album) Pink Floyd - Darkside of the Moon Boston - Boston
Close runner ups: Led Zeppelin - II and IV Metallica - "the black album" Nirvana - Nirvana (greatest hits) Jimi Hendrix - Eletric Lady Land Beatles - 1 (greatest hits) Steve Miller Band - Greatest Hits U2 - The Joshua Tree
I also would not mind just getting all of KZOK's (102.5 The Classic Rock Station) songs on MP3.

Okay my turn: The Kinks - The Road The Police - Reggatta de Blanc U2 - The Joshua Tree Now if I could sneak a few more, they might include: Jewel - Pieces of You Boston - Boston The Cure - All Mixed Up New Order - Substance OMD - The Best of Depeche Mode - 101 and one of my own, Bob's mellow 80's - burned CD with a bunch of sappy love songs from high school / college days I think a whole lotta us might get in trouble with the other woman thread

Wow too many types of music to be limited
If I had to choose 3 for a Country Island they would be:
Jhonny Cash At Folsom Prison Hank Williams greatest hits The Marshall Tucker Band greatest hits
If I had to choose 3 for a blues Island blues :
Elmore James King of the Slide Guitar Big Joe Turner Shake Rattle Roll Sonny Boy Williamson His Best
then you have big band, classical on and on!

Okay Piper, you inspired me to take a little time off my my yardwork duties today to go in a box in the closet to see what I could find. This is sad!! No vinyl clothes or purple hair for me, but I was the master of bleaching levi's and coats ... this was junior year in high school, 1985. This is from my senior yearbook (I'm far right if you couldn't tell!) ... always tan, clubber-boy! More varying stages of Bob: Freshman year at UW, party boy always with frat sweatshirts on: No sweatshirt this time, but a sample of how I usually dressed: This was one of my my favorite activites, sleeping off too much fun. Since this is a music thread, I should point out the large promo material for Belinda Carlisle I got from Tower Records by paying the guy $20 to take it down early! Then there was that "Golf Phase" late in school ... living at Harbour Pointe selling golf clubs and fishing as much as I could. The golf job was perfect 'cuz I worked tons of summer hours and few in winter ... letting me head to the coast for as many days as I could get away missing classes. And again, back to the music end of things. I'll share something else I found in that box. It's perhaps my longest-held, dirtiest, dark secret. But I'll tell you now before Sparkey tells stories! I had the hots for Debbie Gibson!!

Love the pics Bob. I too am an 80 throwback... Graduated HS is 86. Them were the days. Nothing but Girls, music, more girls... Debbie Gibson :p . Too funny... Man, she looks an awfully lot like Britney Spears... If memory serves, she didn't sing any better either.

HAD ... HA You guys, he is embarrassed to admit it but he still actually has the hots for her, it wasn't too long ago that she was the screen saver on the computer I was going to answer for him but he beat me in here ... here are his real choices (believe me I am forced to listen to the crap) Debbie Gibson - Out of the Blue Debbie Gibson - Greatest Hits and last but not least Debbie Gibson - M.Y.O.B. - her latest (she actually has a latest can you believe this) OK ... I'll quit making fun of him now Oh, I guess I should list mine ... Collective Soul - Hints, Allegations and Things Left Unsaid Collective Soul - Dosage Collective Soul - 7even Year Itch I am sure Bob feels they same way about my music choices as I do about his, since he to has had to listen to them over and over again

I had the hots for Debbie Gibson!! It is funny you should mention it Bob. As I walking out the door for work this morning and saw your choices, I could not wait to get home to tell everyone the deep dark truth about your infatuation with Debbie Gibson...but you beat me to the punch! But I can tell everyone about the little compromise that you and Fishgal had to make. As I understand it, Fishgal would only let you keep your poster of Debbie Gibson on the ceiling above your bed, if right along side Debbie, was Fishgal's favorite Dan Marino poster. But since you could not handle waking up to Dan Marino looking down on you every morning, you had to give up on ole Debbie starring down at you, as you slept!! Anyways, my choices are as follows: 1)Jawbreaker- Dear You2)The Cure- Galore3)The Clash- London Calling...two close runner-ups would be Jimmy Eat World's Clarity and one of my many favorite Bob Dylan albums.

Wow, it's pick on Bob day you two Let's tell the real truth about Fishgal's choices ... I just went out to the Blazer to see what CD's she had stacked up in the holder below the player. This is what I found: Vanilla Ice- Hooked Clay Aiken - Measure of a Man (that geeky American Idol dude) Milli Vanilli - Girl You Know It's True AND every Rick Sprinfield album ever recorded

The answer to this question is the same as I would give to the question 'which three cd's have you listened to the most'....simply because they'd have to pass the 'couldn't possibly ever get sick of' rule... Opeth - Still Life AC/DC - High Voltage Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun For some reason I can easily picture 4salt hitting repeat on 'More Than Words' from now 'til eternity. God forbid if we were ever stranded on that island together....I fail to see our CD's surviving much past the first day..... Debbie Gibson karaoke anyone?

OMG FishGal.... Vanilla Ice??? You have GOT to be kidding!! LMAO! Yeah Bob, I am a few years older than you but I have to admit I had the hots for Gibson too.... She was just a cutie. Still is really. Even though I have over 300 cd's, my choices would have to be..... Paul Simon- Still Crazy after all these Years Queen- Greatest Hits Acoustic Alchemy- The Very Best of Acoustic Alchemy Hope I never have to go with only 3, but although a hard choice I guess those would be it...... MC
