I need to do some cleaning of high end graphite rods. Any ideas of what type of cleaners to use?

egg goo, shrimp guts, and herring scales seems to work best on mine (smear a little on and let it dry)... wink

I chose not to clean mine to often... no sence washing off all the good luck...

Well, if you really want to clean off all that "Good Luck". Begin with good old Windex for cleaning. Then polish the pole with "Plexus" a cleaner and polish made for plastic. If you can't find Plexus try Scott's "Liguid Gold" in the spray can.

I clean mine simply because it helps tossing lighter presentations.Less drag between the pole and line.

I clean my rods with mild soap and water. Use furniture polish to enhance the appearance. And use paraffin wax on the farrules a couple times a year.
