Does the idea behind a Full Moon (opportune time to catch fish) work when you cannot see the moon due to cloudy conditions?

It has always been our best nights. Of course it helps when more fish are in our system

Fear No Fish-
You've had some great insights and thanks for your posts.
Look for a 20' Cestliner (Blue) w/black Dodge truck next time your out- will buy ya a cold one or hot one depending on the tempature!
Just got done talikin to my buddy and he too said that the sheriffs have been on the prowl...one guy got ticketed for not having his navigation lights on before leaving the dock area- 30' away from the dock and was putting the lights up when the sheriff came over!
Also, said that if ya fish the Oregon side you can get tickted...they claim that the Washington side (at night) is considered to be the red bouy light near the locks! Now how in the heck can that be?
I guess having a coldie at night is not a good idea!

The state line was drawn up long before the dam was in place. The line is the center of the old river bed which if I am not mistaken may be the navigation channel. Does anyone have a good map of the area showing EXACTLY where the line runs? I cant find anythign here in my extensive collection frown

I can't get an answer from WDFW or ODFW either. It is purely a discretionary call. We have gotten many different answers from different agencies. I do know for a fact that 4 years ago, a guy I know from work got a ticket for fishing the Oregon side at night. He took it to court and the judge threw it out. The people that do not take the time to go to court lose their money. Oregon is anal retentive. They talk about not having enough money in their budget, can you say money maker for a night fishery! I would love to share a beer with ya. Gotta watch out for the Umatilla nazis! beer
