I was there last weekend and there were fish to be caught. It wasn't a slaughter, only the patient guys who know where to cast caught fish, but we caught fish. Saw alot of guys carrying out old summer boots.....maybe they prefer white meat???

A seld rolled into town tonight with a couple of guys staying next to my clients at the motel ... They'd just come from the Cowlitz and said it was very slow. The two ended up in a fight tonight over the etiquette here with sleds ... the owner of it says he's launching at the Bogey Hatchery in the morning ... Hope he has a good hard-hat

Bob or Anybody, Does anybody know why the state doesn't just make the Oly Pen rivers off limits to sleds? Washington state has no rules as to the use of motorized boats on water and so it's no wonder that some folks feel that they can/should use their boats up there. It would sure make things simpler if there were laws that stated where motors are approved/disapproved.
I own both a sled and a drift boat, but I would like to see sections of many waters or entire rivers closed to motorized traffic. Anybody else want to jump in?

Since you asked.
They should boot all IC motors off every river except large bodies like the Columbia,Snake,Snohomish etc. Just like they should boot all Motorized ORV's off State and NF lands except maintained roads.

Knarly little spot and not much room. If it wasn't so pitiful, thoughtless and inconsiderate it might actually be funny.
