Now that some of the usually places where the bankies fish are closed like reiter, are there any other good places that us bankies could fish and have a good chance at some fish. Was thinking about fishing snoqualmie but not sure where i should fish. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

There are other spots on the Sky to bank fish other then Reiter, I've had a decent winter season and haven't fished Reiter once. Get out and explore, don't be afraid to walk a little.

Get out to Forks!!! Ton's of access, less people. Who could ask for more? No It"s not too far. Catch the 5:50 ferry and you can be there by 9.

Anyone have any info on a good place in forks to start? I don't have a problem walking but I don't know that area very well and I never find very much access on the bogey.

thanks,

the bogie doesn't have the best bank access unless you know where to look...but there are other rivers in the area that have TONS of bank access. Get a gazzetter and drive, drive, walk, walk, fish, fish...FISH ON!
Put in your time out there and you will be well rewarded!

Less people? Not during the Hatchery season on the Bogey. People were everywhere. Guys were losing fish because they were snagging up on other people's gear on the bottom.

Hopefully it will simmer down for the nates but I would say fish the Hoh when it comes around and I'll stick to my spots. Cross country sure does come in handy (4:40 mile) smile

I have fished the smaller rivers on the OP. HOKO,PHYST,CLALLAM,SEKIU, and have had many, many, days without seeing one person, or boat, and caught enough fish to make me happy. Grab a room in Sekiu $25-30, and go explore. If you are not doing well your 30 minutes max from the Big Boys Duc,Bogey,HOH,etc.Email me for Zipper spots that only require a bit of bush whacking, and mud sloshing, but bring a side arm you are in kitty country big time. I will take cash for zippers.Just kidding.

Howdy,

Seems like a good place to discuss how stream team naturalists discribed a good creek- (Woodland in Lacey). Good for fish, bad for tramping. This means stumps, logs etc.

This edict has made several of my favorite stream travels nearly impassible due to the lack of daylight in wintertime.

I talked to one fella involved in depositing a vast amount of slash above a canyon bottleneck 3 years ago. He said they were trying to improve habitat in the aftermath of a splash dam from the early 20th century.

Whatever. Ohh by the way the fishing is twice as good because it take three times longer- read impassible in wintertime- to get through.

It takes two days to fish, above and below this mess.
