Shimano Curado is on the light float rod, for winter brats and summers.....on the larger float rod, mainly used for Kings I run a 5501c3.

I dont think you can go wrong with either one of those. wink

Don't get me wrong, Curados are great reels. I have a BSF on my rod and a standard on my back up/guest rod. However, if either of them were to break, they'd be replaced with the Pflueger Trion. The Flueger holds the same amount of line as the Curado BSF, has a slightly faster retrive rate, has one more ball bearing, uses the same break system, and only costs $99.99. And on a personal note, it's simply a beautiful reel.

Phil ONeil is the Shimano rep. Remember he doesn't do donations to charities.

Pflueger on the other stepped up to the plate for us.

Good choice Grandpa2, I have 2 Pflueger reels that I use on a regular basis, I have the Low Pro Trion Baitcaster and I have the Pflueger Solara Spinning reel. Both of these are great reels and in my opinion, the trion is better than the Curado BSF. I think it is a lot smoother and nicer looking, but make sure to put a good lube on it pretty regularly and keep it out of saltwater because they freeze up real damn quick, just a single grain of sand will do it! Enjoy them!
