I'm planning on going east on or near the trout opener. Was wondering who else will be making the trip and what lake are you going to fish?

We used to head over every year, but they changed the date that the Hampton lakes open,to April 1st. Those were really the only lakes we ever had much luck at. The early opener wasn't really about the fishing anyways. It was more to get out of the house for a few days.

This year we're heading down to target some Springers.

I'm considering Conconully Reservoir. There are some nice reports from Washington lakes.com on that spot. Will probably miss Saturday and try for Sunday.
