I am helping a friend develop a product and need all your input. Please take a moment to vote.
I have an idea of how most of you will answer, but need the numbers anyways.

The question is simple, how long is your longest rod?

Thanks for participating!

14' spey rod. But can I cast it 120+ feet like some people? No not really. \:\( I can only manage about 50 feet, I'll have to practice.

It really is 12 feet, but in the cold rain it looks like its less. You have heard of shrinkage haven't you?

Got two 15ft float rods, one is a Talon and one is a Hardy. Good for rivers where you need lots of line control. A freind has a 17 footer but its like a wet noodle, has no purpose except for slapping people on the river you don't like.

I'm surprised it took all of 6 posts for this thread to hit the gutter, but not really surprised it had to be Mr. Vedder. ;\)

15 foot Ugly Stik surfcaster.

It's a big herkin' thing, great for hurling small animals great distances. I use it for bank fishing for sturgeon on the Columbia and crabhawking in the Sound. To get it to work effectively required learning a new casting style, though it isn't hard to pick up. I've used it to catch Redtails in the surf, but the rod is so heavy that it wears you out pretty quick.

Thanks for the replies and votes so far.

I am also in the 10'6" category with both a Daiwa Heartland mooching rod and a All Star flaot rod of the same length.

Mine is a 10.6 float rod

I can't see having anything longer just to unbalanced.
