Granted the tides sucked yesterday, but I came home without a shaker yesterday. Anybody do any good last weekend? I made a pass on the race track and camano head and tulalup bay.

Didn't get out this weekend. Sounds pretty bad. Is Tulaip Bay even opened?

\:\( Its been pretty slow lately. A few nice ones being caught in the Camano Head area. Tulalip bay proper is closed but outside( "The Bubble") is in area 8-2 and thus open. There were some nice fish caught there last year just before it closed ;\) Will probably give it a try tomorrow.

After 3 fishless outings at the racetrack and Langley this month, I headed to the other side of the Whidbey Island and fished area 9 - Midchannel Bank on Sunday.

Fished with my Dad and brother and Dad landed a nice 6 lbr about 2 hrs after slack in 120' of water. Sure was nice to net a fish after a long dry spell.

Greenback Pt. Wilson Dart was the lucky lure.

You weren't the only one skunked. When I came in at 3:30 (fishless), the checker said 7 fish for 86 boats.

I was out at the racetrack with my boy in the boat, not a single bite. Looked like lots of bait was around. After a few hours we went over to the bubble and saw a boat just finishing their limit, I have heard that area has been producing this year.

A friend of mine read the paper the other day and three rivers marine said the bite was on at the race track and hat island area. Where are these guys getting this info? From everything I have heard these areas have been spotty at best.

They sell boats and fishing gear. What do you expect them to say? "Yeah, it's real slow. Might just as well go over to Home Depot and buy that new lawn tractor instead of this Honda kicker."
