The wife is trying to con me into taking the camper over to Vantage in July so her and my mother can go to a Tim Mcgraw concert. I know it's right on the columbia, but is there any good fishing there at that time of year? I told her I'd only go if I could catch fish. I'd have the boat with me.

Thanks
Kris

Many years ago I uesd to fish Evergreen Resoviour. It had about everything in it. Don't know what its like nowdays.

There are lots of pothole type lake in the area, but in July the bite is usually over by 8:00 A.M.

Glowball,

Tons of good fishing if you head downriver just a bit to the Hanford Reach for sturgeon. If you are interested send me an email and I will give you details.

Near Vantage I am guessing there should be a good population of bass for you to chase in July.

The best place to stay is the state park, get reservations early and get ready for the afternoon wind!!!! There are two private camp grounds, Getty's Cove and one in the town of Vantage. Both fill up on weekends. Fishing below the dam for walleyes and small mouth, good launch at the base of the dam on the east side. I understand those snakes taste just like chicken.........
