Love the river, talked to a couple sheriffs about the roads and set out to find an original spot. Stopped at many places, talked to 3 who were fishinf for "anything" and headed on. Found some great spots by Mt. Si. Got home checked regs, nothing open until later this yeaR. I will call tomorrow to see if regs have changed, but if anyone knows, info would be great. All above the falls, really pretty water. If not a fishing spot(which I've already hugged down) it will be a great rafting start place. Again, any fishing info great and appreciated, Blue Hole, or farther down great too!

The Snoqualime is closed for fishing untill the 1st of June. I believe the waters above the falls is always barbless, no bait. Below the falls it's barbless no bait from June to 1st of december. There is always alot of Gamey activity so don't cheat.

Any other info e-mail me

All three forks of the Snoqualamie hold good numbers of resident trout. The North Fork has some brookies as well as cutts and rainbow. The South Fork runs close to I-90 and is not the most estetically pleasing water to fish, but it holds lots of willing trout. Once the water drops, in late summer, you can C&R lots of willing 7-10 inch fish.

I have a biologist friend who used to snorkle the South Fork doing fish counts. He told me there are some 14 inch trout in there, but I have never exceded 12 inches. But, they are wild, willing and they fight well on a three wieght rod.

If gas prices continue to stay high I will be doing more of this stay at home fishing.

Yes! Rafting above the falls! Didn't think it was so silly till I re-read it. But, we were really far up from the falls. I think the summer bug has hit me with the warm weather and I was picturing that pretty blue-green water with me drifting down in the sun. I will indeed have to check how many miles until the falls, not big on heights.
As far as the fishing goes, I was hoping the regs had been updated but guess not. I guess I just found some peaceful picnic spots until the fishing opens. It really was nice the farther out you go, just a lot of police hiding by cow fields. Thanks for the fish info! I'll be there when it opens.
