Cow Pope Pretty nice, huh?! When I first read it I thought it was pretty funny, since I thought it was someone else writing it to make fun of PETA...then I realized as I was reading it that it actually was PETA...which made it even funnier. Fish on... Todd

Those people (PETA) live on another planet...it couldn't be ours.
I find their abuse of Christianity and Christ an abomination. Christ ate the Passover Lamb just like every other practicing Jew of the time, and was not in any way a vegitarian..LOL!
Maybe PETA should spend some more time in their Bible, as God Himself required the death of animals as sacrifices. See Leviticus, Deuteronomy.
BTW, the last time folks made a "golden calf" and worshipped it in the manner that PETA is doing the outcome for them was REAL BAD......something like wandering lost in the desert for a few generations until all the people involved with that calf incident had croaked....
PETA might be a great group to get on Dr. Phil!

Good one Todd!
Those PETA people kinda remind me of the C&R advocates.
Fish are too good to eat but... It's fine to maim and kill them for fun.
Afer all gods purpose for them is to become nutrients... Not for eating but for rotting on the bottom.
:p

I'm Catholic, it's offensive, Easter is not the time to attack anyones religious views. Actually never is a good time.
I have contacted PETA before with my concerns over the fishing issue. I was welcomed with a form letter welcoming me and no questions were addressed. Animal cruelty is one thing, but these people are becoming as violent as the anti- abortion activists. Don't eat meat if you want, but where does it end? Let's shoot the eagles for eating the fish and bunnies (luv the bunnies) , stop the lions from killing antelope, stop the alligators from killing whatever they want. I don't get it still, we are part of the chain of life and BS to bringing any religion or jokes about a religion into it. Makes me want a big piece of prime rib before mass!

After all this time I thought PETA stood for: People for the Eating of Tasty Animals. My bad!

Heres the deal with peta. I used to fish bass tournys in virginia, Its also the national head quarters of PETA. I have seen harrasment on the water with jet skis and I have also witnessed old klunker trucks driven to the front of the line (there are always a few non-trailor parking spots near the ramp) of boats (awaiting to put in for a bass tourny) at the last second the guys cuts off the next boat inline parks across the ramp jumps out locks the door and throws the keys in the water then runs off. now you might think that this is outragous but its not the half of it....Every time you visit there web site their lobyest/ lawers use the amount of hits on the web counter as the number of people interested in the illimination of hunting and fishing....so far not many polititions have paid attention but if they ever do we are all in trouble....I say dont give them the time of day....DJ

My favorite PETA Quote is from this press release: http://www.peta.com/news/0301/0301boyscout.html "The Boy Scouts are supposed to be compassionate role models, not bloodthirsty fish killers." Just sent back my CRC for last year. I am guilty of 16 counts of being fish killer, but I wasn't bloodthirsty. I bled them all back into the water before storing them in my cooler. Dan

Bob - You apparently have never tried adipose and asparagus tip soup. Good for the pencil if you know what I mean.

I can't stop wondering when PETA is going to start protesting animals that are cruel to other animals. Seems like the next logical step?

they're all nuts and should never even be taken seriously. only problem is that they have friends in high places that are as equally misguided as themselves, such as movie stars
