Heh, get your minds out of the gutter! I'm talking about the stink of a springer, that is. What is your favorite method, chemical, soap, process to remove "the stink" of a springer off of your hands after handling one? Off all the salmon, Jerry seems to have the worse stink. After cleaning a fish, my hands just reek of springer. What do you use to fully remove that smell off of your hands. Normal hand soap just doesn't seem to work. I tried Lava, and it was OK, but not fullproof. Anyone tried that Orange hand soap stuff? Come on, let's her how you get your hands clean after a day of catching and cleaning Jerry.

Lemon Joy. Actually any citrus based soap will help.

Springer. Jerry. Jerry Springer.

Or groceries.
Nothing like going out and getting a mess of good eating groceries!

This sounds odd, but try it. It even works to get that smoked fish smell off your hands.
This only works if you have a stainless steal sink (or faucit)... After washing hands in the sink, rub hands liberally on the stainless steal. Yup, strange, but true.

CWUGirl - Yeah, that works well for getting the harsh onion smell off of your hands. I just use a good knife steel - same concept. I'll try that with springer stink. Thanks for the ideas everyone! My wife thanks you!

toothpaste- but the generic stuff not that fancy Crest whitening three mint sparkly flashy stuff. The .99 tube at albertsons does the trick. My uncle who sport fishes the ocean off New Zeland taught me this trick last year, it works great!

I have a little metal bar, silver color, for chefs to get onion/garlic/fish smell off the hands, gotta admit, I was skeptical, but it works, just use it and a little soap, well worth the $4

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

That's funny Pilebuck! I told Parker I was gonna pick my nose all the way home just to enjoy the 'scent'. I thought about driving a little slower so the experience would last a little longer, too. Hey Parker......when you're heading home with sacks o' springer, you can't complain about the smell.

You don't know stink until you make the mistake of keeping a Vedder River White Chinook! The smell creeping out of the cooler in my car made me gag all the way back home to Seattle. The fish was somewhat bright to. That was six years ago and now its all C&R on those stinky whites! BD
