It's not just the guys, some people it would seem are just out there to run everyone else's idea's, thoughts and suggestions down.I have tried to have discussions about various things here and find that it turns into a bash fest. Seems like if you have ideals that don't corrospond to the people (old timers on this board) then you are driven out on a rail, I have been taught that through discussion and the mixing of ideas, come more enlightened, informed and closer groups, driven to take on the vagaries of groups that would impead your ideas, thoughts and suggestions.......Fishy.........

Its been kind of tame for me lately. The last few photos I've posted of my kids catching bigger fish than most guys here regularly catch haven't been flamed at all. ;\) I'm glad "they" have been picking on someone else.

Well said by all...this board is for those of us who share a common interest, even if we can't always agree on how to pursue it.

I think I'm feeling the phung-shwei from the BB. Calm, tranquility, as-one.

I've felt the same vibe for awhile and, as a result, have pretty much taken to reading and not posting. I don't check in as often either.........used to be a daily ritual. I'd like to think things will turn more towards the positive as I try to remain upbeat. The last thing I should have to worry about is a favorite fishing forum bringing me DOWN........should be the other way around shouldn't it?

I'd love to see a return to shared experiences, more photos and techniques.......not that it doesn't happen. I just want it to be the standard; not the exception.

Personally, I think the solution is for mods to hit the delete button early when the thread content is unacceptable. Of course, this would require that the "standard" is well defined for "acceptable content."

From the outside, it looks like people are baited until they respond in an inappropriate fashion. Then, one person is banned or the thread is locked.

Over time, posters would understand that PP doesn't play that and wouldn't bother posting unacceptable content on their own. The plus is that you get the acceptable content which banning doesn't allow.

My two cents... which is probably not worth two cents. \:\)
