I have a 2001 16' Smokercraft Osprey with a Yamaha 50hp main and a Honda 8hp kicker. I have not fished at Neah Bay but have fished Sekiu a lot and all over Puget Sound with it and have not had any problems. I have had it in some really rough water at times and it has done really well. We fished the derby at Sekiu last April and was at Pillar Pt when the wind came up Sat afternoon. The winds must have been 25-30 mph. It was a long and rough ride back to Sekiu but the boat handled it fine.

Go explore Neah Bay with a dose of caution and confidence together. You have plenty of boat.

I used to fish my old 16 foot Bayliner there, and in some pretty rough water at times.

Like all else said, just use a little commom sense.

If I am going totrailer that far west I am most definatly going to go the rest of the way to Neah Bay.

Have fun and fish on!!!
