Why do you suppose there are not tribal members operating charter boats?

On a side note I remember some old arguments about Neah Bay charters fishing in Canadian waters. I think you were denying that ever happens. In any case I see the charter called "Jambo" taking people halibut fishing in Canadian waters.

What topwater said.
"Canadian laws consider US charter boats "commercial vessels." They are not permitted to operate within 12 miles (by the standard measuring system) of Canadian coastlines.
So any griping by anyone of US charterboats fishing canadian swiftsure is unfounded. It doesn't happen. Not legally, and not that I know of, anyway."

J.D.

jaydee...does this mean that you go 13 miles off the Canadian coast?

"My friend *** & I are planning on taking a Chartered Hali trip out of Neah Bay with Jambo's Guide Service on Sunday May 16th, a week from tomorrow and we would like to get 2 more people to accompany us so we can fish 4, not 6.

It's a Canadian hali trip so the limit is 2 fish, not 1. The catch is you must aquire a one day Canadian license which requires a trip to the Blaine truck crossing. You don't have to be present to buy the license, just need the info to pick it up. I plan on driving there on Wednesday to get ours. Think it's $8 for the day. The charter is $165 & leaves port at 5:15am sharp.

Call Jambo's Guide Service @ (206) 595-9527 & talk to Shirley. *******"

If it is a week from this Sunday I could do it. My name is Mike, 47 years old, engineer who works for Boeing, lives in Maple Valley, plays raquetball, better at duck hunting than fishing.

US charters out of Neah fish the Canadian water out at Canadian blue dot---- it's a ways out--------- some of the spots are 50 miles out of Neah Bay.

May 16th or May 23rd? I might go if it's the 23rd.
