I'm going to take the kids (3 yrs and 16 month's) for their first drift next week. I was thinking Sultan to Ben Howard. Not going to fish, just a quick float to see how they do. Is there a shorter drift than that? What's the drift between Ben Howard and Lewis Street like?

Drifted the Sultan to ben Howard it is a good drift if you are just going down and no fishing you can probalbly do it in between 3 and 4 hours. The water is really low so there isnt a great current. Have fun

Ben Howard to Lewis street is much shorter and an easy drift.

You could float Ben Howard to Lewis St. in an hour or less if you wanted.

You could also go Lewis St. to Tualco in about the same time. \:\)

Kyle,
I recommend you float from Ben Howard to Lewis.
It's short, very easy, and safe drift.
I've done that float last summer with my two boys (5 and 2 then) and my wife.
Did little fishing, and pulled over to buck island and let the kids play on the bank for while.
Everyone had fun. \:\)

Thanks Folks! Sounds like Ben H to Lewis is the way to go. Just didn't want to get everyone stuck in the boat for 3-4 hours if they come unglued!
