I heard the bay is full of bait & you can jig up some. I'm gonna try.

Most grocery stores should have it. Look in the laundry soap section. I found mine at fred meyers.

Just bring a smelt jig setup w/ white feather hooks down to the marina. There are a ton of herring right off the docks, easy to catch. Perfect green and blue labels right now.

Save your money. I brine in rock salt only and have been slaying the kings. Maybe I am catching the non-yuppie kings who haven't developed a taste for powdered milk and blue dye.
