Hey lead thrower,
When are you thinking of fishing the Elliott baby?
It should be fair now.

The Indians are netting tonight--I've heard that they'll have the whole fleet of tribes out there--then someone told me it's just going to be a regular netting.

Anyway, they're going to be out there tonight taking their 50%.

Sportsmen-get 'em while you can--what they don't net will soon be pushed into the river with the coming rains.

Tight Lines!

I was out there on Sunday with my son and only got 2 hookups,I crackered mine and my son caught a 12lb'er. When Pete(fish checker) checked our fish - we were the 27th chinook out of 89 boats. Just hope it gets better next week. Goodluck and fish-on

The night bite has been the best! Was out there last weekend and saw lots of nice kings caught. Personally got a 25 lbs. and 19 Lbs. It seemed to be pretty good fishing!

I stopped by the Shilhole ramp at 7:45 am today. Four boats came in with 10 kings from Elliot Bay. Two were around 12 pounds, the rest were in the high teens-low twenties.

All said it was an early bite, right at day break.

Fished Elliott this morning. Somebody printed that the fishing was HOT. NOT. Put in at 5:00. Pulled out at 11:00. Count was 48 fish for 88 BOATS (avg. 3 per boat). Do the math. There was a flurry of nets at 7:00. Not much after. Caught quite a few shakers but nothing of any size. Everyone I spoke with, stated how slow it was.

I was on the water @4:30 am and didn't hit anything till about 6:30. Seemed to be a good bite over by the west channel till 7:30. We had 4 on and only got 1 to the boat. (11lber) At around 11:00, my buddy ran over to the west channel and made a coulpe drops moaching and picked up 2.
Could not believe I was stupid enough to have taken my rain gear out of the boat!

Charr....I did the same thing last year. This time I was prepared. ;\)

The bay was good to us on Friday (3 fish plus 1 lost to another boat's DR). A friend put 2 in the box on his boat. Saturday was a bust. Counted 3 or 4 nets out at various locations. We picked up 1 silver and crackered another off. No kings this AM. I'm hoping everyone skips out tomorrow and I don't have any lines to worry about at the ramp.

I fished Elliott Bay from 6:15 to 9:45 am this morning. Got one silver out by the buoy towards the end (green/green flasher/squid @ 90' on the downrigger). Otherwise nada. Saw two fish boated by the barge around 8 am but otherwise I didn't even see a hookup or a net.

I had read the good reports about Friday in the rain. Although I figure anyone out yesterday earned what they got I was hoping it was not only a good sign but that the rain might bring in some more fish.

I'll try again tomorrow. See you out there.

I took the family out for a night cruise, and to troll for an hour or two tonight. No bumps for us...then... Right as we saw three fish being caught, around 7pm, my wife insisted it was time to head back to Shilshole. "Just 20 more minutes honey!!!!" "Nope!" Hmmm. \:\) anywayz, saw a few fish all hit at once while we were there. May head out tomorrow night if time allows.

We were on the Bay late Saturday afternoon too. Between 5PM and 7:45PM we went 4 for 7 on fish, nothing big 13, 14, 14 and 16. Saw a few boats getting fish while we were there.

Fished from 6:30-9:30 this morning. No takedowns, no fish. We saw a bite go on between 7:45 and 8:15 at the east waterway with four or five fish hooked but couldn't get one to hit.

The fish checker at Shilshole said that yesterday fish from Elliott Bay came in late... not many until after lunch. I don't know if they were later morning fish from late starters or early fish from boats that had been on the water all day.

We fished for coho off West Point for an hour after leaving Elliott Bay but the wind and chop made it tough.

hit the bay friday am and had 2 fish by 7:30, both down by todd. Hit hotspot with a green spatterback hoochie and one with a glow white hoochie. Only 2 take downs but both fish were in the high teens. Kinda nice to get out and fish seattle style, lots of boats and a little rain! ;\)

Went out Saturday. The kicker wouldn't run and ended mooching all morning. Nothing doing. No takedowns at all.

Planned to work on the boat Sunday, but I got a phone call from armblaster at 4:30 am. He demanded that I get up because he was taking me fishing. After he twisted my arm for what must have been at least 1/2 second I gave in and agreed to go fishing. I'm glad I did because his kicker motor works and his wife knows how to drive the boat to find fish.

We had 4 hookups, but took home only 1 fish. Two silvers (one looked like a keeper) shook us off. One good size king got to within 15 feet of the boat just to jump out and smile at us as he spit out our hook. The last fish of the day was the one we got to keep. He went 27 lbs. It's not a 55 lber, but it is the biggest fish I've caught so far.

Thanks Kirk and Family for taking me out to find this one. You guys are awesome. I'm going to try and upload a picture. Hopefully it works.

My buddy and I headed out Sat pm. Just got one shaker and some hits. Saw a flurry of nets between 6-7pm. Also saw a nice king being fought when a seal came and chomped on it.

Result of Sunday fishing. One 14lb chinook.
I got to boat lunch at 3:00a.m. already too many people. I started fishing at 5:30 a.m. Lots of shakers (10 hits) and I switched from spoon to herring and Bang!. Just a minute after I dropped herring, fish on. Good fight at 7:00a.m. and none after that until 10:00a.m.

Let me know how everybody else did on Sunday. How was overall?

Friday the 13th at 7pm the fish checker had checked 151 boats with 151 fish. 1 fish per boat average is really not bad for the bay. We had 3 fish in our box. 2 in the 10 - 12 pound range and a nice 22 1/2 pound fish. Biggest fish the checker knew of was a 26 or 28 pounder from the morning checker.

Fished it yesterday as well, one 17# in the box and lost a couple more. All the fish were hitting hardware- hoochys and spoons at about 70 feet.
Bite was on from first light through about 8am, then completely turned off, didnt see another fish boated all morning after a early flurry of nets. I'll will be out again tomorrow.
This hen had beautiful mature eggs.

Friday evening we went 4 for 7, bigest about 20#. Saturday AM we went 4 for 7 again! 8 nice kings in the box for two days, not bad!

All fish came on Green Glow Hotspot with green glow splatter back hootchie @ 40" behind the flasher. We were fishing 120 - 140 feet most of the time.

Will post H20 pic soon!

Nice reports guys. Thanks. I fished Friday AM and picked up 2 fish probably in the 10-15 lb range although I didn't weight them. Both on a hotspot with glow B2 mini squid at 90'.
