I have a free weekend, and am thinking about dragging my 14' Alaskan up to Sekiu or Neah Bay. I'd love to fish Neah Bay, but feel safer day in and day out in my little boat out at Sekiu.

So, any reports on the fishing for silvers out at Sekiu? Is it heating up yet? I'll be fly fishing . . . Any reports on bottom fish, too? I've done well on rockfish and lingcod with flies, too.

I fished there wednesday and thursday of this week. Fair action on good sized coho, more unmarked fish than marked. Fly fishing opportunities are there but not I have not yet seen hot fly fishing at Sekiu this year.
Sounds like the coho are thick out of Neah and if great fly fishing is a priority that is probably your best bet. Best of luck.

I called Olsen's yesterday and was told that the Coho are getting bigger with a few in the 12-15 pound range being caught in the past couple of days. I always question how accurate the reports from the resort owners are though.
