Anyone catching kings out there in the last couple of days? Are any silvers showing up yet?

Thanks for reports!

In general, it is slow. However, three of us were able to pickup two Kings and two Silvers on Saturday AM. \:D My fishing partners went back Sunday and were skunked with no bites.

We fished from 6:30 am until 2:00 for one lost fish to the boat. The hooks popped about two feet from the net.

Then as we were leaving, I noticed a flasher dragging through the water. I quickly scanned the horizon, expecting someone to yell that I was about to run over thier line, and I realized that this was a freeby! I yelled at my buddy to grab the flasher that there was a fish on it. He swooped down off the bow, picked up the flasher and turned the fish on maybe a 20" leader. My other partner had the forethought to grab the net and Viola! An exausted 22# king in the boat.

All in all, I saw maybe ten fish caught more than half of which were silvers.

Good luck!

I was out Friday and Saturday morning. Friday we boated four nice silvers. The largest was about ten pounds. Saw one king caught and a few other silvers. Saturday we only boated one fish, 16 lb. king. Saw several silvers and a few kings caught as well. Still seems a bit slow. I've heard trolling a herring is working well. I'll be out again in the morning to give it another try. Good Luck!

Well, I didn't do much good this morning. Caught a small blackmouth, or jack, about three pounds that I released. It hit a doger with a cutplug herring behind it. Saw a few other boats get some silvers and two kings hooked, one caught. The one I saw caught was on a trolled cutplug herring with no flasher or doger. Last week I caught some silvers and one king with a green/glow flasher and glow/green or white hoochies. I added a herring strip to them and fished between 40-65 feet. Good luck to you and your son.
