I did but it was 15 years ago. Did real well on coho and chinook in Active Pass between Mayne Island and Galiano Island. There are som big rips and you can catch them in the back eddies. Saturna Island as well. I am sure there is a BC coast fishing site that should have some info on it.

I would focus 95% of my efforts on the outside of active pass, about one or two miles up the outside of galiano under the power lines. Your charts will show the power lines. Back and fourth in around 85-140 feet of water. This is one of the top spots in the islands. Watch out for weather, the straits of Georgia can get nasty.

We did a little a few years ago. Should be some Sockeye, Pinks, and Chum around there now. Just hit the dock the day you arrive and talk to the guides, they're usually pretty forthcoming with information, and may even let you follow them out. Good Luck!

Sorry for the tardy report.

The fishing we did was more like cruising...didn't mark anything, didn't see anyone else fishing, and obviously never saw a rod even twitch. Per the only guide i could find/talk to: fish were REALLY, late...still all holed-up at Port Renfrew.

Thanks for the help all. Same time next year but the week will be spent on San Juan Is.
